Schedule Service

Jeep owners here tend to actually use their vehicles — mud season, logging roads, ski parking lots, and the occasional trail. Auto Care Plus services the full Jeep lineup at our New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine locations, including the Wrangler, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Compass, Renegade, Wagoneer, and the 4xe plug-in hybrid models.

Four-Wheel Drive Systems Need Actual Service

Transfer cases and differentials are the components most commonly neglected on a Jeep, and they are the ones most affected by water crossings, hard cornering, and towing. Fluid that has been contaminated with water looks milky and will not protect gears. We check differential and transfer case fluid condition during service, and we recommend replacement on a real interval rather than waiting for a noise.

Wrangler-Specific Wear

Solid front axles and a tall, short-wheelbase body create their own wear pattern. Track bar bushings, control arm bushings, steering damper wear, and ball joints all contribute to the front end wander that Wrangler owners describe as death wobble. It is almost never one part — it is a combination of worn components that finally reaches a threshold. We diagnose the whole front end rather than replacing a steering stabilizer and calling it fixed.

Water, Salt, and Electronics

Jeeps see more water intrusion than most vehicles. Door seal leaks, soft top leaks, and plugged sunroof or cowl drains let water reach carpet, control modules, and connectors, which produces electrical faults that seem random. When we chase an intermittent electrical problem on a Jeep, water is the first thing we rule out.

Lifts, Tires, and What They Do to the Rest of the Vehicle

A lift kit and larger tires change more than ride height. Caster geometry shifts, which affects steering return and stability at speed. Driveline angles change, which loads the U-joints differently. Larger, heavier tires increase stress on wheel bearings, ball joints, and brakes, and they change the effective gear ratio, which affects transmission behavior and shift points. None of that means you should not lift a Jeep — plenty of our customers do. It means the vehicle needs to be set up correctly afterward and inspected with those changes in mind. We align to specifications appropriate for the lift and tell you honestly if the geometry needs correcting rather than just the alignment.

Service and Inspection

We handle NH and ME state inspections, lift and tire package alignments, brake and suspension work, and full scheduled maintenance for every Jeep model at all Auto Care Plus locations.
