Schedule Service

Chrysler has a narrow lineup now, but the vehicles in it do a great deal of work. The Pacifica is one of the most practical family vehicles sold, particularly in Pacifica Hybrid form, and the 300 remains a comfortable highway car. Auto Care Plus services both, along with the Town and Country and 200 still on the road, at our New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine locations.

Pacifica Hybrid Service

The Pacifica Hybrid is a plug-in hybrid with a high-voltage battery, an electric drive transmission, and a 3.6-liter gasoline engine. It needs everything a conventional minivan needs — brakes, tires, alignment, suspension — plus attention to the hybrid cooling loop and the 12-volt auxiliary battery, which causes a remarkable number of confusing warning messages when it weakens. We diagnose the difference between a 12-volt fault and a genuine hybrid system issue before anyone talks about expensive parts.

Sliding Doors and Liftgates Are Real Maintenance Items

On any minivan used by a family, the power sliding doors and liftgate see enormous cycle counts, and the cables, rollers, and latch motors wear. New England salt accelerates it. These are fixable, and they are far less expensive to address when the door is working intermittently than after a cable has failed.

Pentastar Patterns Apply Here Too

The 3.6-liter Pentastar in the Pacifica and 300 shares the same known items as its Dodge and Jeep siblings — oil filter housing leaks, water pump seepage, and on earlier versions a cylinder head issue that presents as a stubborn misfire. Knowing the patterns means we diagnose faster and replace fewer parts that were never the problem.

Towing and Loaded Operation

Minivans spend their lives near capacity, and the Pacifica is frequently asked to tow on top of that. Stow and Go seating means the floor wells collect water, road salt, and debris, and the mechanisms themselves corrode and stiffen if never cleaned or lubricated. Loaded operation also means the transmission, brakes, and rear suspension all work harder than a lightly used vehicle, so intervals should be shorter than the standard schedule. We check the rear suspension and load-carrying components specifically, along with trailer wiring and hitch condition if you tow, which is another thing that corrodes quietly over a New England winter.
