Alfa Romeo

Schedule Service

Alfa Romeo builds cars for people who care how driving feels, and the Giulia and Stelvio deliver on that in a way most of the segment does not. Auto Care Plus services both at our New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine locations, including Q4 all-wheel-drive models and the Quadrifoglio variants.

These Cars Reward Correct Maintenance

Alfa Romeo has a reputation that owners of well-maintained examples largely do not recognize, and the difference is almost entirely in how the car is serviced. Correct specification oil, on a sensible interval, is the single most important item. These are turbocharged engines with sophisticated variable valve timing, and they are not tolerant of extended intervals or approximate fluids. Get that right and ownership is far smoother than the reputation suggests.

Electronics and Battery Condition

The most common source of confusing Alfa Romeo complaints is not a mechanical fault at all — it is low system voltage. These vehicles carry a dense module network and are notably sensitive to battery reserve capacity. A weak battery produces warnings across driver assistance, drivetrain, and electrical systems simultaneously, and owners understandably assume the worst. We test the battery and charging system first, and it resolves a large share of these complaints.

Q4 All-Wheel Drive and Winter Use

The Q4 system makes the Giulia and Stelvio genuinely usable New England vehicles. On a proper set of winter tires they are confident in snow. The ongoing consideration is salt exposure on brake and suspension components, particularly with the large brake systems these cars use, which we inspect at every visit.

Pre-Purchase Inspection Before You Buy

Used Alfa Romeos are tempting, because depreciation is steep and the cars are genuinely special to drive. Whether one is a bargain or a mistake comes down to how it was maintained, and that is knowable in an hour on a lift. We check oil service history and look for evidence of extended intervals, inspect for cooling system seepage at the plastic housings, borescope the intake where accessible to assess carbon buildup, test battery state of health because it explains so many complaints on these cars, and pull stored and pending codes across every module. We will tell you plainly whether the car in front of you is a good one.
